If cats are a big part of your life, or you simply cannot walk past a cute cat without stopping for a look, there is a good reason to mark 6 to 9 November 2026 on the calendar. MY CAT EXPO 2026 is coming to Putrajaya, bringing together cat lovers, pet owners, breeders, exhibitors and plenty of feline-focused activities under one roof.

Held at the IOI Grand Exhibition & Convention Centre, Putrajaya, the four-day event looks set to be more than just a place to admire beautiful cats. Visitors can expect an International Cat Show, a special Orange Cat Gathering, a petting zoo, games, activities, cat food, treats, accessories, pet supplies and various promotions and discounts.

The best part for bargain hunters is that entry is only RM5, while children below 12 and senior citizens above 60 can enter for free. That makes this a relatively affordable day out for families, friends and, of course, dedicated cat parents looking for something different to do during the weekend.

A Cat Event with Plenty to See

A good cat event should offer more than rows of cages and cats waiting to be admired, and MY CAT EXPO 2026 appears to have plenty planned to keep visitors entertained.

One of the main attractions is the International Cat Show, which should give visitors the opportunity to see a variety of cats in one location. For people who enjoy learning about different breeds, appearances and characteristics, this could be an interesting part of the visit.

Even if someone is not particularly knowledgeable about cat breeds, there is still plenty of fun in simply seeing so many different cats together. After all, cats have a habit of stealing attention without even trying.

Then there is something particularly interesting for fans of ginger and orange-coloured cats.

Orange Cats Get Their Own Gathering

Orange cats have a reputation for being a little special, and MY CAT EXPO 2026 is giving them their own moment with an Orange Cat Gathering.

If you have an orange cat at home, this sounds like a fun opportunity to celebrate one of the most recognisable cat colours around. Even visitors without an orange cat may find the gathering worth checking out simply because seeing a large group of orange cats together is not exactly an everyday experience.

It could also make for a memorable photo opportunity, although visitors should always follow the event’s rules when interacting with other people’s pets.

More Than Just Cats

While cats are obviously the main attraction, MY CAT EXPO 2026 is designed to provide a wider experience for visitors.

A petting zoo is among the activities listed for the event, giving families another reason to spend more time at the venue rather than making a quick visit just for the cat show.

There will also be fun games and activities, which could make the event particularly suitable for families with children. Parents looking for an affordable outing during the school break or weekend can potentially turn the expo into a full day of entertainment.

For children who love animals, being able to see cats up close and experience other activities in the same venue can make the trip much more memorable.

A Useful Stop for Cat Parents

The event could also be useful for people who are already spending plenty of money on their cats.

Pet owners can look forward to vendors offering cat food and treats, along with cat accessories and supplies. This means a visit does not necessarily have to be purely about entertainment. It can also become an opportunity to discover products that may be useful for a cat at home.

If a cat’s food, treats, toys or accessories are already on the shopping list, it makes sense to browse the available exhibitors while attending the event.

The presence of crazy promotions and discounts could make this even more interesting for shoppers. While specific offers may vary between participating sellers, visitors can keep an eye out for special event pricing and promotions that could help them save compared with buying certain items at regular prices.

As with any expo, it is still worth comparing prices and checking product sizes or bundle quantities before buying. A discount is most useful when it applies to something that is genuinely needed.

Why Should You Go?

The biggest reason to visit MY CAT EXPO 2026 is simple: it combines entertainment, shopping and an opportunity to spend time around animals in one event.

At just RM5 per entry, it is also relatively easy on the wallet. A family with eligible children and seniors may be able to keep the overall admission cost even lower because children below 12 and seniors above 60 can enter for free.

For cat parents, the event offers a chance to discover pet products, treats and accessories while enjoying the atmosphere of a major cat-focused gathering. For families, the petting zoo and games add more variety to the day.

And for people who simply love cats, there probably does not need to be a complicated reason. Sometimes an event filled with adorable cats is reason enough.

Another advantage is the four-day schedule. Since the expo runs from 6 to 9 November 2026, visitors have several opportunities to choose a suitable day instead of having to squeeze their plans into a single date.

The event is scheduled from 11am to 10pm, giving visitors plenty of time to plan a visit around other activities in Putrajaya. Those who prefer a quieter experience may want to consider arriving earlier, while visitors who enjoy spending longer at exhibitions can make use of the extended opening hours.

Plan Your Visit

If planning to attend, it is worth setting aside enough time to explore rather than simply dropping by for a short visit. Check out the International Cat Show, look for the Orange Cat Gathering, explore the pet-related exhibitors and browse the available promotions.

Cat owners may also want to prepare a shopping list before heading to the expo. Knowing what food, treats, toys or accessories are actually needed can help prevent impulse purchases while still allowing room to discover something useful.

The IOI Grand Exhibition & Convention Centre in Putrajaya provides the setting for the event, so visitors should also plan their journey in advance, particularly if travelling from outside Putrajaya.

Most importantly, remember that the expo is about enjoying the experience responsibly. Visitors should respect the cats, exhibitors and other pet owners, especially when taking photographs or approaching animals.

A Fun Day Out for Cat Lovers

MY CAT EXPO 2026 looks like the kind of event that can appeal to different types of visitors. Serious cat enthusiasts can check out the International Cat Show, orange cat fans have a dedicated gathering to look forward to, while families can enjoy the petting zoo and activities.

Meanwhile, bargain hunters can browse cat food, treats, accessories and supplies and look out for event promotions.

With admission priced at only RM5, it is certainly an event worth considering if you are searching for an affordable activity in Putrajaya this November.

So, whether there is already a beloved cat waiting at home, or you are simply the type of person who cannot resist stopping to admire a cute feline, MY CAT EXPO 2026 could be a fun addition to the weekend plans.

Save the dates from 6 to 9 November 2026, head over to the IOI Grand Exhibition & Convention Centre, and prepare for four days filled with cats, pet activities, shopping opportunities and plenty of reasons to spend a little more time appreciating our favourite furry companions.
