If the weekly grocery shop is on the list of things to do, it may be worth taking a closer look at the latest offer from Pasaraya OTK. From 2 to 5 October 2026, OTK Supermarket is offering Frozen Thawed Chicken Drumstick at RM12.99 per kilogram, giving shoppers a chance to pick up a useful everyday ingredient at a price that could make the grocery budget stretch a little further.
The promotion is available at all OTK Supermarket branches, so shoppers do not need to make a special trip to a particular outlet to take advantage of it. For households that regularly buy chicken for family meals, this short promotion could be a convenient opportunity to stock up while the offer is available.
The deal is particularly relevant because chicken drumsticks are one of those ingredients that can be turned into countless meals. They can be fried, roasted, grilled, cooked in curry, simmered in soup or prepared with a simple marinade for an easy family dinner. Having chicken in the freezer also makes it easier to put together a meal when there is not much time to plan ahead.
At RM12.99 per kilogram, the OTK promotion gives shoppers a straightforward price point to consider when planning their grocery purchases. Rather than buying ingredients simply because they are on promotion, shoppers can think about the meals they are likely to prepare over the coming days and decide whether the quantity they purchase makes sense for their household.
A practical grocery deal for everyday meals
Not every good supermarket promotion needs to involve a luxury item or something unusual. Sometimes, the most useful bargains are the ones that cover everyday essentials. Chicken is a regular feature in many home kitchens, and drumsticks are especially versatile.
A simple batch of drumsticks can become several different dishes depending on the ingredients already available at home. A little seasoning and an oven or air fryer can turn them into a quick roasted meal. They can also be marinated overnight before being grilled or fried. For something more comforting, chicken drumsticks can be added to a curry, stew or soup.
This flexibility is one of the reasons the OTK offer may appeal to families, couples and anyone who enjoys preparing meals at home. Instead of spending more on takeaway meals, having affordable ingredients ready in the kitchen can make home cooking a more practical option.
It is also worth considering the cost on a per-kilogram basis when comparing chicken products. Shoppers who are already planning to buy drumsticks can check the available packs at their nearest OTK Supermarket and see how the promotional price fits into their grocery budget.
Available across OTK Supermarket branches
Another convenient part of this promotion is that it is available at all OTK Supermarket branches. That makes the offer easier to access for regular OTK shoppers who already have a preferred branch for their weekly grocery run.
Rather than travelling a long distance just for the promotion, shoppers can simply check their nearest OTK outlet during the promotional period. This can be especially useful when the supermarket is already part of the regular shopping routine.
The promotion runs for just four days, from 2 to 5 October 2026. That means shoppers who are interested should keep the dates in mind rather than assuming that the RM12.99 per kilogram price will continue after the promotion ends.
As with many supermarket promotions, availability is an important consideration. OTK states that the offer is subject to terms and conditions and is available while stocks last. In other words, shoppers should not wait until the final day if they already know they want to buy the promotional chicken.
Why shoppers should consider this deal
One of the biggest advantages of a promotion like this is its practicality. There is little point buying something simply because it is discounted if it will end up sitting unused in the kitchen. Chicken drumsticks, however, can be used in plenty of everyday recipes, making them an ingredient that many households can actually put to good use.
The RM12.99/kg price can also make it easier to plan meals around the weekly grocery budget. Shoppers can decide how much chicken they realistically need, combine it with vegetables, rice, noodles or other ingredients already at home, and create several different meals without making the shopping list unnecessarily complicated.
It can also be a good opportunity for anyone who enjoys meal preparation. Chicken drumsticks can be seasoned or marinated in advance, portioned appropriately and stored for future meals according to proper food-handling and storage practices. That can save time during busy weekdays when cooking an elaborate dinner is not always realistic.
For larger families, the offer may be even more interesting because chicken is an ingredient that can be incorporated into meals for several people. Instead of purchasing several different types of meat, a household can use drumsticks as the main protein and vary the recipes throughout the week.
A few things to remember before shopping
Although RM12.99 per kilogram is the advertised promotional price, shoppers should remember that the promotion comes with terms and conditions. The offer is also stated to be available while stocks last.
That means availability may differ from one branch to another depending on demand. It is sensible to check the chicken section when visiting an OTK Supermarket during the promotion period and purchase only the amount that can be stored and consumed appropriately.
The promotion period is also quite short. It starts on Friday, 2 October and ends on Monday, 5 October 2026. Anyone planning a weekend grocery trip can therefore keep the offer in mind when preparing their shopping list.
For shoppers who already buy chicken regularly, this is the sort of supermarket promotion that can be easy to incorporate into an existing grocery run. There is no need to completely change the weekly meal plan. Simply consider whether chicken drumsticks are needed and whether the promotional price works for the household budget.
Make the most of the OTK promotion
A good grocery bargain is often about buying something useful at the right time rather than buying more than necessary. The OTK Supermarket Frozen Thawed Chicken Drumstick promotion provides an opportunity to do exactly that, with the product offered at RM12.99 per kilogram from 2 to 5 October 2026.
With the promotion available at all OTK Supermarket branches, regular shoppers can check their nearest outlet and see whether stocks are available. The short promotional period also means this is a deal worth remembering before heading out for the weekend grocery shop.
For families looking for affordable meal ingredients, home cooks planning several dishes, or shoppers simply trying to keep an eye on their grocery spending, chicken drumsticks are a practical choice because of how many ways they can be prepared.
If the product is already on the shopping list, the OTK promotion could be a useful opportunity to pick it up at the advertised RM12.99/kg price. Just remember that the offer is subject to terms and conditions and is available while stocks last.
