If lamb is on the shopping list this weekend, there is a tempting reason to make a trip to Village Grocer. From 2 to 5 October 2026, Village Grocer is featuring its Bumper Harvest promotion, with New Zealand Lumina Frozen/Frozen Thawed Lamb Shoulder Slice available at RM49.99 per kg.

For shoppers who enjoy preparing lamb at home, this is the sort of grocery promotion worth keeping an eye on. Rather than waiting for a special occasion to enjoy lamb, a good price on a useful cut can be a convenient excuse to plan a hearty family meal, a weekend barbecue or even a simple home-cooked dinner.

The promotion is available at all Village Grocer outlets, giving shoppers across Malaysia the opportunity to check out the offer at their nearest participating store. As with many fresh and frozen food promotions, however, shoppers should remember that the deal is available while stocks last, so leaving the purchase until the final day may mean the preferred stock is already gone.

New Zealand Lamb at RM49.99/kg

The main attraction of this Bumper Harvest offer is the New Zealand Lumina Frozen/Frozen Thawed Lamb Shoulder Slice at RM49.99/kg.

Lamb shoulder is a versatile cut that can work in a variety of dishes. Depending on how it is prepared, it can be turned into a comforting slow-cooked meal, a flavourful curry, a grilled dish or part of a family-style spread. Having sliced lamb available can also make preparation more convenient for shoppers who do not want to spend too much time cutting and portioning meat at home.

At RM49.99 per kg, shoppers can also decide how much they actually need instead of buying a larger quantity simply because it is on offer. That can be particularly useful for smaller households or anyone planning a specific meal for the weekend.

Of course, the final value will depend on individual shopping needs, and shoppers should check the product, availability and applicable terms at the outlet before purchasing.

A Good Weekend Meal Opportunity

One of the nice things about a grocery promotion like this is that it does not require shoppers to completely change their plans. If a Village Grocer trip is already on the weekend schedule, the lamb can simply be added to the shopping list.

A pack of lamb shoulder slices could become the centrepiece of a family dinner, while leftovers can potentially be used for another meal. Shoppers who enjoy experimenting in the kitchen can also use the opportunity to try a new lamb recipe instead of relying on the same meals every week.

For a larger household, the promotion may be even more interesting because buying by weight allows shoppers to purchase enough for everyone. Those planning a gathering can also check the available quantity and decide whether the offer fits their menu.

The key is to have a meal idea in mind before heading to the supermarket. That makes it easier to decide how much to buy and helps avoid purchasing more than necessary.

Shop In-Store or Online

Another useful part of the promotion is that shoppers are not limited to visiting a Village Grocer outlet. The brand also directs customers to its online shopping platform, Bites, where groceries can be ordered for delivery or arranged for store collection.

This gives shoppers another way to take advantage of the promotion, particularly for those who already prefer doing their grocery shopping online.

The online platform also has additional voucher offers that may make a larger grocery order more attractive. Customers can get RM10 off plus free delivery with a minimum spend of RM250 when using the code FD10. There is also an RM5 discount with a minimum spend of RM150 using the code FD5.

These additional offers come with their own terms and conditions, so it is worth checking the requirements before completing an online order. Shoppers should also make sure the lamb promotion and any relevant discounts are applicable to their particular order.

Why Should Shoppers Check Out This Deal?

There are several reasons why this promotion could be worth considering.

First, the offer gives lamb lovers a chance to put New Zealand Lumina Lamb Shoulder Slice on the menu at RM49.99 per kg. For anyone already planning to buy lamb, checking the promotion before making a purchase elsewhere could be worthwhile.

Second, the timing is convenient. The promotion runs from Friday, 2 October through Monday, 5 October 2026, covering the weekend. That makes it easy to incorporate the purchase into a regular grocery run.

Third, the availability across all Village Grocer outlets means shoppers do not necessarily have to travel far to look for the offer. Customers can check their nearest outlet and see whether the desired stock is available.

Finally, there is the online shopping option. For shoppers who would rather avoid another trip to the supermarket, Bites provides an alternative way to order groceries, with additional voucher offers available for qualifying purchases.

Plan Before Heading Out

As this is a limited-time grocery promotion, a little planning can make the shopping trip more worthwhile. Before visiting, shoppers can think about what they want to cook, how many people they are feeding and how much lamb they actually require.

It is also sensible to check stock availability, particularly if the promotion is being advertised across all outlets. Popular meat promotions can attract plenty of interest, and the offer specifically states that it is available while stocks last.

For online shoppers, checking the minimum spending requirements and voucher terms is equally important. A discount is most useful when the order already meets the shopper’s grocery needs rather than encouraging unnecessary spending just to unlock a voucher.

A Simple Way to Add Something Special to the Weekend Menu

Not every good grocery deal needs to involve filling the shopping trolley with dozens of discounted products. Sometimes, finding one useful ingredient at a reasonable promotional price is enough to make a difference.

The Village Grocer Bumper Harvest promotion gives shoppers an opportunity to pick up New Zealand Lumina Frozen/Frozen Thawed Lamb Shoulder Slice for RM49.99/kg between 2 and 5 October 2026. Whether it becomes a family dinner, a weekend cooking project or part of a larger gathering, lamb can certainly give the menu a change from the usual chicken, beef or seafood options.

So, if lamb is already on the shopping list, this weekend could be a good time to check Village Grocer. Visit a participating outlet, look for the promotional stock and remember that availability is subject to stocks lasting.

For those who prefer shopping from home, the Bites online store also provides another option, with additional voucher savings available on qualifying orders.

With only a few days to enjoy the promotion, shoppers interested in the deal may want to plan their grocery trip sooner rather than later.
