If you have been thinking about replacing your current smartphone, the first part of October could be a good time to take a closer look at the vivo V80 Lite 5G. DirectD is currently running a limited-time promotion that combines a promotional starting price, free gifts and an additional RM100 cash rebate, giving Malaysian shoppers several ways to get more value from their purchase.
The promotion is only available from 1 to 11 October 2026, so there is not much time to decide. With the offer running for just 11 days, anyone who has already been considering a new 5G smartphone may want to check the details sooner rather than later.
The vivo V80 Lite 5G is available at a promotional price starting from RM1,399. On top of the reduced promotional price, eligible customers can also enjoy an extra RM100 cash rebate, subject to the applicable terms and conditions. That makes the promotion particularly interesting for shoppers who are already planning to spend around this price range on their next phone.
But the savings do not stop there. DirectD is also offering a selection of free gifts worth RM199 with the promotion. The gift bundle includes a backpack, V Selection Earbuds and a card holder. For someone buying a new phone, these are practical extras that can make the overall package more appealing, particularly if the accessories would otherwise need to be purchased separately.
A phone designed for people who need serious battery life
One of the standout features highlighted for the vivo V80 Lite 5G is its 10,000mAh BlueVolt Battery. Battery life is one of the biggest considerations when choosing a smartphone today, especially for people who spend plenty of time watching videos, browsing social media, using navigation, taking photos or staying connected throughout the day.
A large battery can also be useful for people who frequently travel or spend long periods away from a power socket. Instead of constantly worrying about finding a charger, having a high-capacity battery gives users more flexibility during busy days.
For Malaysian users who are often out for work, study, shopping or travelling, battery capacity can make a noticeable difference. It is one of those specifications that may not seem exciting at first glance, but becomes very important once you start using your phone heavily.
Built for a more demanding lifestyle
The vivo V80 Lite 5G also comes with IP68 and IP69 water resistance, according to the promotional information. This is another feature worth considering if you are looking for a phone that can cope with everyday situations where exposure to water or dust may be a concern.
The phone is also promoted with military-grade durability, adding another layer of appeal for people who prefer a smartphone designed with durability in mind. Of course, users should still follow vivo’s official care and usage guidelines, but these features make the device worth considering for those who want something beyond the usual everyday smartphone specifications.
A durable phone can be especially useful for people who are constantly on the move. Whether it is being carried around during a busy working day, taken on trips or used outdoors, durability can provide an extra consideration when comparing smartphones in this price category.
A bright OLED display for everyday entertainment
Another feature highlighted by DirectD is the 1.5K high-brightness OLED display. The screen is one of the parts of a smartphone that users interact with constantly, so display quality can have a big impact on the overall experience.
Whether you are watching YouTube videos, scrolling through social media, looking at photographs, reading messages or browsing the web, a high-quality OLED display can make everyday content more enjoyable to view.
The high-brightness aspect is also worth noting for people who regularly use their phones outdoors. Malaysia’s bright daytime conditions can make some smartphone displays difficult to see, so a display designed to provide high brightness can be useful when using the phone outside.
RM1,399 promotional price plus an extra RM100 rebate
For bargain hunters, the numbers are probably the biggest attraction of this promotion.
The vivo V80 Lite 5G is being promoted from RM1,399, while the campaign also advertises an extra RM100 cash rebate. This gives shoppers another reason to compare the offer with other smartphones currently available in a similar price range.
It is important to remember that the cash rebate is subject to terms and conditions, so customers should check the promotion requirements before completing their purchase. Promotional pricing and gift availability may also be subject to the conditions set by DirectD.
The free gift package is another factor worth taking into account. With gifts stated to be worth RM199, buyers receive a backpack, V Selection Earbuds and a card holder as part of the promotion. For someone who needs additional accessories, the bundle could make the purchase more convenient.
Why should you consider checking out this deal?
There are several reasons why this promotion may be worth a look, particularly if a new phone is already on your shopping list.
First, the promotion is time-limited. It runs from 1 to 11 October 2026, meaning shoppers have a relatively short window to take advantage of the advertised offer.
Second, the deal combines several benefits instead of focusing only on the phone’s selling price. There is the promotional price from RM1,399, the advertised RM100 cash rebate and free gifts worth RM199.
Third, the vivo V80 Lite 5G offers features that may appeal to people who prioritise battery capacity, durability and display quality. The 10,000mAh battery, IP68 and IP69 water resistance, military-grade durability and 1.5K high-brightness OLED display give shoppers several specifications to consider.
Finally, DirectD also provides a BNPL payment option, which may be useful for eligible shoppers who prefer to spread their payments rather than pay the full amount upfront. Customers considering BNPL should review the applicable payment terms, fees and eligibility requirements before choosing that option.
Do not leave it until the final day
With the promotion ending on 11 October 2026, anyone interested in the vivo V80 Lite 5G should check the offer while it is still available. Limited-time promotions can change or end once the stated campaign period is over, and free gifts may also be subject to availability and promotional terms.
For the full product information and purchasing details, shoppers can visit the DirectD vivo V80 Lite 5G page.
For customers interested in the available payment option, details can also be found through the DirectD BNPL platform.
Overall, this DirectD promotion brings together a RM1,399 promotional starting price, an advertised RM100 cash rebate and RM199 worth of free gifts, while the vivo V80 Lite 5G itself focuses on battery capacity, durability and display features. If you have already been waiting for the right opportunity to upgrade, the 1 to 11 October campaign is worth putting on your shopping list before the offer ends.
Terms and conditions apply. Customers should check the official DirectD promotion and product pages for the latest eligibility, rebate, gift and payment information.
