International Coffee Day is a good excuse to treat yourself to a favourite coffee, but this year, there is an extra little reason to make a stop at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. For coffee fans and collectors, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Malaysia is offering a special International Coffee Day promotion featuring an OTR Magnetic Pin that can be purchased for just RM1 when you buy an OTR drink.
The promotion starts on 1 October 2026 and is available at participating The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf cafés throughout Peninsular Malaysia, while stocks last. That means there is no need to wait for a particular weekend or special event. If you are already planning to grab your usual coffee, this could be a simple opportunity to pick up a limited promotional item at a very small additional cost.
The highlight of the offer is the OTR Magnetic Pin, available for only RM1 with every OTR drink purchase. Alternatively, customers who simply want the pin without purchasing an OTR drink can buy the OTR Magnetic Pin separately for RM9.90.
For anyone who enjoys collecting café merchandise, pins or little keepsakes connected to their favourite brands, the RM1 option is particularly interesting. Rather than paying the full RM9.90 price for the pin, customers who are already ordering an OTR drink can add the promotional item for just RM1, subject to the promotion’s terms and availability.
A small treat for OTR fans
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has turned this International Coffee Day celebration into something that goes beyond simply enjoying a cup of coffee. The OTR Magnetic Pin gives customers something tangible to take home, whether they want to keep it in their collection, attach it to a bag or simply have it as a small souvenir from the promotion.
The fact that the promotion runs from 1 October onwards also gives coffee lovers some flexibility. There is no need to rush to a café on International Coffee Day itself, although customers should remember that the promotional pin is available while stocks last.
Limited promotional items can disappear faster than expected, especially when the price is as attractive as RM1 with a qualifying purchase. Anyone who has been thinking about getting the OTR Magnetic Pin may therefore want to check their nearest participating café sooner rather than later.
How does the RM1 offer work?
The promotion is relatively straightforward.
Customers who purchase an OTR drink can get one OTR Magnetic Pin for RM1. This makes the deal particularly worthwhile for customers who were already planning to order an OTR beverage.
For those who are not buying an OTR drink but still want the pin, the promotional item can be purchased separately for RM9.90.
So, if an OTR drink is already part of your coffee order, the RM1 magnetic pin gives you an inexpensive way to take advantage of the International Coffee Day promotion.
It is also worth paying attention to the wording of the offer. The deal provides 1x OTR Magnetic Pin for RM1 with every OTR purchase, rather than suggesting that customers can simply collect unlimited pins for RM1 without purchasing qualifying drinks. Planning your purchase around the promotion can help avoid disappointment at the counter.
Where can Malaysians enjoy the promotion?
The promotion is available for in-store purchases at participating The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf cafés in Peninsular Malaysia.
However, there are some important exclusions. The promotion does not apply to outlets located in airports, and it is also not available for online transactions.
That means customers should visit a participating physical café if they want to take advantage of the RM1 OTR Magnetic Pin offer. If your nearest outlet is inside an airport, this particular promotion will not be available there.
For customers who normally order their coffee through an online platform, it is also important to remember that the offer is specifically for in-store purchases. A trip to a participating café is therefore required.
Why should you go and enjoy this deal?
The biggest reason is simple: if you already enjoy OTR drinks, the promotion gives you an opportunity to get a special OTR Magnetic Pin for just RM1.
At that price, it is an easy little addition to a coffee break, especially for fans who enjoy collecting branded merchandise. Instead of buying the pin separately for RM9.90, a qualifying OTR drink purchase allows customers to get the promotional pin for a much lower price.
It can also be a nice reason to meet a friend for coffee. Rather than simply grabbing a takeaway drink and heading home, you could turn the promotion into a casual coffee outing. Visit a participating café, order an OTR drink, enjoy some time away from work or daily routines, and take home the special pin as a little reminder of the occasion.
For collectors, the limited availability is another reason to pay attention. The promotion is only available while stocks last, so the advertised promotion period does not necessarily mean the magnetic pins will remain available throughout the entire period. Once the promotional stock is gone, customers may no longer be able to get the RM1 offer.
A good excuse for your next coffee break
Not every promotion needs to involve a huge discount to be interesting. Sometimes a small, affordable extra can make an ordinary coffee run feel a little more special.
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Malaysia’s International Coffee Day promotion is exactly that kind of offer. Customers can enjoy an OTR drink while adding a special OTR Magnetic Pin for only RM1, provided they make a qualifying purchase at a participating café.
It is particularly suitable for regular coffee drinkers, OTR fans and anyone who likes collecting café merchandise. Even if the pin is not something you normally collect, RM1 makes it a relatively inexpensive way to pick up a small promotional keepsake.
Just remember the important conditions: the promotion begins on 1 October 2026, applies to in-store purchases at participating cafés in Peninsular Malaysia, excludes airport outlets and online transactions, and is available while stocks last.
Before making a special trip, customers should also check with their preferred participating café regarding availability, as promotional stock may vary from outlet to outlet.
