Selangor Takes Care of Its Senior Citizens and Disabled People with RM150 Shopping Vouchers

The state of Selangor in Malaysia is taking steps to support and care for its senior citizens through the Skim Mesra Usia Emas (SMUE). Many people think that they automatically become members once they fill out their information online, but in reality, after filling out their information online, they need to print out the form and submit it together with their information to the state assemblyman service center in their respective constituency.
2. Once the information is reviewed and approved, the system will show that they have successfully registered as a member, but the entire process usually takes three months.

If successful in registering for SMUE, seniors and disabled people in Selangor can expect to receive a text message notification or check online to see if they are eligible for the vouchers. The vouchers can then be collected from designated locations such as state assemblyman service centers or designated halls. However, it’s important to note that while the SMUE program is open for collection all year round, eligible applicants can only claim the voucher once a year, not every month.
