KWSP EPF RM10k Special Withdrawal Facility 2022. Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, the Malaysian Prime Minister, announced on 16 March 2022 that the government has agreed to allow a special Employees Provident Fund (EPF) withdrawal of RM10,000 for Special Withdrawal Facility campaign.
This will be available to all Malaysians starting from 1 April 2022. The purpose of this announcement is to help those who are in need of financial assistance. In addition, this will also provide a stimulus for the economy.
The government had previously allowed the withdrawal of EPF contributions through three schemes, namely i-Lestari, i-Sinar and i-Citra amounting to RM101 billion, involving 7.34 million contributors since the Covid-19 pandemic hit the country two years ago.
Members of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) who are below the age of 55 can apply to withdraw their savings in the fund from 1 April to 30 April 2022. Further details will be announced by the EPF on its website or social media platform
The EPF stated that members can only apply for the withdrawal once, and the amount that can be withdrawn is limited to RM10,000. The money will be paid out in a lump sum, and it is not compulsory for members to withdraw their savings.
Members who are interested in applying for the withdrawal must do so through their EPF account on the EPF website. They will need to provide their name, NRIC number, and EPF account.
Date: 1st April 2022 to 30th April 2022
