Imperial Dishes from the Qing Dynasty
Simmer Huang speciality “Three Sauce Simmer Pot” recipe originated from the Qing dynasty’s “Spicy Fish”. In the ancient time, Imperial Chef Huang Yu Jiu searched the country to get the recipe of the emperor’s favourite “Spicy Fish” and reinvented it into an imperial dish – using a secret sauce to stew the finest fish in a pot. The recipe was then passed down generation by generation in his family. His descendants, Simmer Huang CEO Huang Geng and his father Huang Zhen Ou, who is a China Nutrition expert, decided to give their family-recipe a different touch by combining the traditional royal recipe with the cooking ideas from modern health science. This marked the birth of the “Three Sauce Simmer Pot”.

“Simmer” to Perfection
The “Three Sauce” symbolizes the wholeness of Sky, Earth and Human in traditional Chinese culture. Using juices from over ten nutritious vegetables, and sauces from many tasty ingredients, it makes for mouth-watering flavour without using a drop of water. The food is not fried, nor deep fried and the simmering process doesn’t get affected by air, so all the vitamins and proteins are kept intact for healthy and delicious enjoyment. Each ingredient used in the recipe is carefully chosen to ensure a balance diet, while ensuring the best-tasting, most culturally appealing delicacy. The amazing aroma comes from their original-recipe thick sauce. Flavours available currently include Classic, Spicy, Hot & Spicy, Seafood and Soy.
