Pisco Bar Malaysia is having their Flavours of Mexico Promo. For the past 6 years, Flavours of Mexico in Malaysia has become a very successful festival to enjoy the vast Mexican cuisine which comprises the cooking traditions and techniques of our ancient civilizations and modern fusion tendencies that identifies the unique exceptionality flavours of the Mexican gastronomy in the world.
Traditional Mexican cuisine has a prominent place at the international level, for whose merits it was catalogued in 2010 as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. We are celebrating a decade of this recognition and feel very proud to share it with every foodie.
Through Flavours of Mexico, Malaysians have experienced different menus prepared by distinguished Mexican chefs in several hotels and restaurants, whom also have given cooking lessons so you can prepare and replicate traditional dishes at your home.
Certainly, there is a cultural connection between Mexicans and Malaysians through food, due to the Mexican gastronomy contributions to the world through products that are very common in Asia, such as the different variety of chili peppers, tomatoes, corn, beans and chocolate. This has inspired The Embassy of Mexico in Malaysia to compile some Mexican recipes in the book “Flavours of Mexico in Malaysia” so you can adventure in the preparation of these dishes with ingredients available in Malaysia.
Due to COVID-19 situation this year the seventh edition of Flavours of Mexico goes online with a special episode in which you learn more about the Mexican cuisine and our similarities with Malaysian food. Flavours will be united as Chef Wan and Madame Sonia Félix show you how to cook Nasi Tomato Ayam and Tamales (Spicy Chicken and Cheese).
