Yayasan Nanyang Press Malaysia is having their Free masks to those underprivileged and patients. Yayasan Nanyang Press is fully aware that some patients may not be able to afford unreasonably priced masks today.
The Federal Government of Malaysia has decided to implement a nationwide Movement Control Order (Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan) commencing from 18 March 2020 till 31 March 2020 as a preventive measure towards the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) in Malaysia. A complete restriction of movement and assembly should be observed including religious activities, sports, social and cultural events. This too includes closure of schools, government and private premises except those involved in essential services such as the hospitals and clinics.
All of us is aware that we have the duty to observe the Movement Control Order to avoid getting infected by COVID-19. Unfortunately, those who suffer from other illnesses will have to take the risk to visit the hospitals or treatment centres, particularly those patients with kidney disease where they are required to visit the hospitals several times a week for dialysis. Besides, the masks are also highly needed by pregnant women who need go for their regular pregnancy checkup.
Hence, we are giving out each eligible patient one (1) box of 3 ply disposable masks (50 masks each). Please click the link below for online application and fill in the form accordingly. We will only courier the masks to your designated address if you fulfill our eligibility criteria (note that this is on first come first serve basis). In view of the implementation of the Movement Control Order, we only accept online application (https://forms.gle/mTip3LnMtf4h2KGq7) . If you do not have any laptop or mobile phone for our online application, please request assistance from your family members or friends.
Please take note that our masks were originally used for monthly visitations held by Yayasan Nanyang Press 16 Navigators to rebuild homes for the needy. However, due to the recent outbreak of COVID-19, the 16 Navigators visitation has been put on hold and the remaining masks shall be distributed to those long-term patients or the underprivileged. As our stock is low in quantity, we wish to prioritise patients with low income or having financial difficulty. We are unable to verify each and every application and we urge your cooperation not to apply for our masks if you do not have financial difficulty or suffer from any illness currently.
