The Japan Foundation, Kuala Lumpur is inviting 4 award winning musicians from Japan; YAMANAKA Nobuto (Tsugaru-shamisen), KATANO Satoshi (Shinobue), TAKA and TSUKAMOTO Junya (Wadaiko) for “ MUSASHI: Music From The East”.
The band of four was specially formed for Brunei-Malaysia Concert tour in 2020 and will be travelling with a wide range of Japanese songs from traditional to contemporary while introducing their traditional Japanese music instruments. The musicians will be performing in REXKL on 11 February after “Japanese Language and Culture Festival in Brunei” from 8 to 9 February aiming to promote Japanese culture to the Bruneian people.
JFKL will also be promoting Japanese study materials such as JF’s E-learning platform MINATO, as the co-organiser of this event together with The Embassy of Japan in Brunei Darussalam and Times Square Shopping Centre during the Brunei tour.
