On the 4 Nov 2010, marks the Uniqlo Official Opening at Malaysia but unfortunately i was working, so was not able to queue for the lucky 500 people for the lucky draw. I was planning to go to Uniqlo Grand Opening after work. Even so, heard lot of news on how crowded the place was. Was checking the facebook and found out the queue was insane and some people have even started queueing up since yesterday night. Was thinking to myself, is all this queue worth it.
In regardless, we waited for my after work and got off around 5:30PM and went straight to the Uniqlo store and wants to experience myself how great was the Uniqlo Grand Opening. Sadly, the traffic was bad. From PJ to KL took me about 1 hour and 15 mins, including parking. Must be the next day it's Deepavali thus people are rushing home for the festive day. Anyhow, after parking my car at Lot 10 (cheaper cause it's after 6:00PM), i rushed to the Uniqlo. Got there around 6:55PM. To my suprise, they are closing at 7:00PM. Wow, this is not happening. I rushed all the way and they are closing at 7:00PM? Problem is that there is no info that it's closing at 7:00PM. The store should at least inform the public thru media that they close earlier then the normal shop. I overheard some debate between a staff and a customer cause the customer wasn't happy with the closing time as nobody inform them. There was a simple statement by the Uniqlo staff "If you don't like this, please go in and complain to the management". I was stoned. How can a staff say this to a customer? Anyway, i left the place feeling disapointed.
Next day, the Deepavali, i went down to Uniqlo again. If you are asking me, i don't really keen on getting any clothing but just that i want to see what is offered in-store by Uniqlo. While on my way to parking, i see a lot of people holding Uniqlo plastic bag. I quickly make my way to the parking and parked my car. Got to the store as quick as i can. When i reached Farenheit 88 building, i can see the queue. Wow, can't believe that it's this long. Anyway to avoid disapointment, i start to queue up. Wait for 30 – 45 mins, then only i got my chance to go into the shop. Luckly i was with my friend and the waiting time wasn't that bad. Go into the shop and walk around for the stuff offered. To my suprise, most of the items are meant for winter wear. In Malaysia where got winter? Anyway, i was thinking of getting a jeans and T-shirt from Uniqlo because it's very worth it. Only RM29.90 for a graphic T-shirt and RM49.90 for a pair of jeans. Look around and found the items i am looking for. Asked for size, once again, i was being disapointed. All my size are sold out. I was pretty pissed because went there for 2 days and it's a waste. Spent like 30 mins with my friend walking around the store and ended up buying nothing (Limited stocks and no size). Wasn't a really good experience during the Uniqlo Grand Opening.
