{"id":3173,"date":"2018-08-15T07:07:05","date_gmt":"2018-08-14T23:07:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.everydayonsales.com\/news\/?p=3173"},"modified":"2018-08-15T07:07:05","modified_gmt":"2018-08-14T23:07:05","slug":"government-halts-one-of-manifesto-plan-due-to-malaysias-weak-financial-state","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.everydayonsales.com\/news\/government-halts-one-of-manifesto-plan-due-to-malaysias-weak-financial-state\/","title":{"rendered":"Government Halts One of Manifesto Plan Due to Malaysia\u2019s Weak Financial State"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Many of us are looking are looking forwards to our new government but\u00a0Government Halts One of Manifesto Plan Due to Malaysia\u2019s Weak Financial State<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3177\" src=\"https:\/\/www.everydayonsales.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/08\/government-manifesto-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1131\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/08\/government-manifesto-1.jpg 1600w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/08\/government-manifesto-1-300x212.jpg 300w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/08\/government-manifesto-1-768x543.jpg 768w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/08\/government-manifesto-1-1024x724.jpg 1024w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/08\/government-manifesto-1-1170x827.jpg 1170w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/08\/government-manifesto-1-585x414.jpg 585w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1600px) 100vw, 1600px\" \/><\/h4>\n<p>One manifesto in particular that all of us have been looking forward to is the toll abolition where it is part of the Pakatan Harapan manifesto prior to winning the election where they have pledged abolish with tolls once as part of their 100-day manifesto.<\/p>\n<h4><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3176\" src=\"https:\/\/www.everydayonsales.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/08\/government-manifesto.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"525\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/08\/government-manifesto.jpg 1000w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/08\/government-manifesto-300x158.jpg 300w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/08\/government-manifesto-768x403.jpg 768w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/08\/government-manifesto-585x307.jpg 585w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.freemalaysiatoday.com\/category\/nation\/2018\/08\/13\/toll-abolition-on-hold-till-were-out-of-the-red-says-putrajaya\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>FMT<\/em><\/a> reported that our Work Minister Baru Bian announced in the Dewan Rakyat today (13 August\u00a02018)\u00a0that in order to carry out the abolishment of tolls, the government would need to allocate at least RM400 billion to carry on it out.\u00a0Baru then explained that this move is not possible at this moment but it will only be\u00a0possible after the country\u2019s financial state was stable<\/p>\n<p>Baru has quoted:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe government will continue efforts to fulfil its promises in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) manifesto, including the abolition of highway tolls, but we admit that it is not easy to implement due to the pressures on the government\u2019s finances,\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Looks like we the rakyat would need to have to wait a little longer for this manifesto because of the high costs they\u00a0will\u00a0need to bear when compensating the toll concessionaires.<\/p>\n<p>Of course there are some criticism from\u00a0the opposition, BN\u2019s\u00a0MP from Jelebu -Jalaluddin where he claimed that the decision showed that PH isn\u2019t \u201cserious\u201d about fulfilling the election pledges but Baru explained that they have never said that PH was going to remove tolls within the first 100 days of obtaining Putrajaya.<\/p>\n<p>So what do you think of the postponing of this manifesto?
