{"id":2185,"date":"2018-05-25T12:38:55","date_gmt":"2018-05-25T04:38:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.everydayonsales.com\/news\/?p=2185"},"modified":"2018-05-25T23:47:43","modified_gmt":"2018-05-25T15:47:43","slug":"housewives-will-get-2-percent-epf-from-husband-and-rm50-from-govt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.everydayonsales.com\/news\/housewives-will-get-2-percent-epf-from-husband-and-rm50-from-govt\/","title":{"rendered":"Housewives Will Get 2 Percent EPF From Husband and RM50 From Govt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The new government seems to be also taking care of the housewife where there is a plan that&#8230;<\/p>\n<h4>Housewives Will Get 2 Percent EPF From Husband and RM50 From Govt<\/h4>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2188\" src=\"https:\/\/www.everydayonsales.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/05\/epf-housewife.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"468\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/05\/epf-housewife.jpg 840w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/05\/epf-housewife-300x201.jpg 300w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/05\/epf-housewife-768x514.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Our new Deputy Prime Minister who is also our Women, Family and Community Development Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail says that she will soon meet up with the Employees Provident Fund&#8217;s (EPF) chief executive officer Datuk Shahril Ridza Ridzuan to discuss the mechanism and EPF scheme for housewives.<\/p>\n<p>At this moment, there is nothing for housewife and with this initiative, government will contribute for woman care where they will get RM600 (per year) and RM3000 (for 5 years) just from the government (not including husband EPF deduction).<\/p>\n<p>In her statement to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nst.com.my\/news\/nation\/2018\/05\/372597\/dr-wan-azizah-meet-epf-devise-retirement-scheme-housewives#cxrecs_s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>NST<\/em><\/a>, she has said &#8220;I am going to meet EPF&#8217;s chief executive officer to further discuss on the possible mechanisms and see how we can implement this. We have to discuss on who are entitled for the scheme and how we are going to distribute it,\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She also say that\u00a0\u201c<strong>Two per cent<\/strong>\u00a0will be from the husband&#8217;s salary, while\u00a0<strong>RM50<\/strong>\u00a0will be from the government.
